Winter stars

 A cold winter night
 The clouds rushed
 to warmer moods
 each star light bright
 alone

 star light, star light
 A white pin whisper
 in a multi-hue cosmic blanket
 forever expanding outward
 inward

 with eminent needles darting
 from the source star
 I reach to touch as
 the planet rotates
 both out and away

 Falling face down
 allowing a galaxy
 looking through time
 at winter stars
 dancing with dreams

 Deafening silence
 screaming light
 penetrating darkness
 a throng of loneliness
 distant embrace
